How does pain and suffering get transformed into a vision of beauty and joy?

I’ve wrestled to answer this question.

Come along on the journey.

I need help

Pain and suffering can become so intense that we eventually come to the end of ourselves. Many of us have experienced childhood, young adult, and adult trauma. We also have developed coping mechanisms to survive. Eventually, those mechanisms that once helped us survive fail us, and we realize they are creating more pain and suffering in our lives and in the lives of those around us. Some of the most difficult words to say are, “I need help” – to recognize and accept that we need something or someone from outside of ourselves. This can become the beginning of our healing. But where do we go for help? I suggest two sources. We were designed for relationships – both horizontal and vertical. On this journey, we need healthy community – those a little further down the road of true healing, and we need God – the One who made you and who is calling you to Himself through your pain.
