The Word of God is complex and comprehensive. We call it the Bible. The Truth. And Jesus is the Word made flesh. He is the author of the Word and the living image of the Word. The Word is a Person. It is God’s revelation to us, revealed and yet mysterious. It holds infinite power. He speaks to us through the Word. We develop a yearning and a longing for it.

Hebrews 4:12, “For the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”

The Word speaks as it is His voice, His words, His wisdom. We sit in His presence… we read His Word… He speaks to us… We find food and nourishment for our soul and spirit that transforms and gives life. It’s a mystery and it is a gift of Himself. Without it, we lose our way and we slip into the old ways of spin and bondage. Yet as we run to Him in faith, we enter His presence, we read His Words, life and vitality return through the truths of His Word and the power of His presence.

2 Timothy 3:16-17, “All scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”
